Becoming Catholic
Becoming a Catholic as an adult
If you would like some information about becoming a Catholic as an adult, please contact the parish office for information on the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) process.
The RCIA is a process by which adults interested in learning about the Catholic faith come together on a weekly basis to learn about the scriptures and teachings of the Catholic Church, and to discover where God is present in their lives. The RCIA takes place within a parish community in company with others on a similar journey.
The process is designed for those adults who are:
- Unbaptised
- Baptised in another tradition or
- Baptised Catholic, but with no further religious training or sacraments.
